Course description

Are you interested in standard long-term online Romanian courses (8 weeks per module)? It is the best to learn a language in its native environment; the theoretical knowledge is being put into practice from the very beginning. At first, you learn basic things, however, if you are constantly surrounded by people speaking Romanian and have to speak it yourself, then you will learn very quicklyPeople who have never studied Romanian or who have just basic knowledge will enrol at this level. The course will take 8 weeks of training. 2 times per week (Moday and Wednesday or Tuesday and Thursday), you will study 2 hours, from 18:00 to 20:00.

Combine a relaxing holiday abroad with 2 Romanian lessons (1 lesson is 2 x 50 minutes with 10 minutes pause) per week. You will learn or perfect all the basics of how to communicate in Romanian with plenty of time left over for sightseeing, relaxing and exploring Bucharest.

Our interactive methods of teaching and the teaching materials have been designed to satisfy communication needs from the simplest to the most complicated, making the development of both written and oral expression easy.

Our lessons are always varied and dynamic – dialogues, role plays, discussions, communication games which motivate everyone to speak and a variety of linguistic exercises. Our teachers often come out for activities outside the school. One of them most important elements of the courses which we offer is the extra-curricular program, which give you an extra opportunity to practice Romanian in real situations, often on the streets of Bucharest.

Because our online classes are held with international groups, the course is also an excellent chance to meet people from all around the world, and find out about the culture of the countries they come from and… talk about them in Romanian.

Teaching methods

The online course involves the communicative method, which means that, the main emphasis is put on speaking skills.

The main technique in class is group work and dialogues in pairs. We often use real-life materials such as leaflets, TV shows, dialogues. The role of a teacher is crucial as it’s the teacher who creates real-life environment in online class. All lessons (also for beginners) are taught only in Romanian. We usually work in international groups in which Romanian is the only ‘common’ language’. The results of the communicative method can be seen very quickly and this is an additional motivation for students.

Even though we concentrate on speaking mainly, it doesn’t mean that we neglect other language skills – listening, grammatical correctness, reading and writing. All language skills are an integral part of each course as they influence the efficiency and ease of communication.

We use the textbooks that we have tested and that are liked by our students. What’s more, our teachers add their own interesting materials to the textbook material.
